All designs can be built as a platform bed to support a futon or mattress only OR can be built to support a matterss and box spring (rails are lowered 4" for mattress/box setup). All bed designs also available with a "low-profile" footboard, please inquire. Beds are constructed with their own rail/slat system that provides ultimate support and integration -- in other words, they are well-built AND beautiful!
